Itinerary
1
Parque Memorial Inflexion
Built on the site of the former Monaco building, Escobar’s former residence, this park commemorates the thousands of victims of narco-terrorism. Its walls and sculptures chronicle the pain of the city and, at the same time, its resilience and ability to be reborn. It is an essential stop to understand how Medellin resigned its past and built a future of hope.
20 minutes
2
Cementerio Jardines Montesacro
In this place rest the remains of Pablo Escobar with several personalities who were key in his life, such as his cousin Gustavo Gaviria, the “Godmother” Griselda Blanco, other members of the cartel and his own family.
The panoramic view over Medellin contrasts with the history of their graves, recalling the price the city paid for those years of violence. The journey here is longer, which ensures an immersive tour of the city and the possibility of knowing different urban contrasts before reaching this emblematic destination.
30 minutes
3
Barrio Pablo Escobar
Visit the neighborhood Pablo Escobar had built for vulnerable families in Medellin. These homes, delivered in the most critical years of his rise, show how he gained social support through works that still endure. At this stop we will enter a mini community museum, where through photographs, stories and objects the history of the construction of the neighborhood and the influence it had on its inhabitants are narrated. More than walking the streets, this experience offers an intimate look at the social impact and footprint left in the city

4
Los Olivos neighborhood
At this historical point you will know the exact place where Pablo Escobar’s life ended during his last persecution in 1993. From the roof of a modest house, it is recalled how the Search Bloc operation ended more than a decade of violence. A space full of symbolism where Medellín took a definitive step towards its transformation.
