Our day hike is a great way to enjoy mountain views, nature, and local culture—all in one day from Pokhara. After a 45-minute drive to Kande, you will hike for 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Australian Camp, where you can see beautiful views of the Annapurna and Fishtail mountains. If you like, you can also take a short extra hike to Pothana. Then, walk about 1 hour down to Dhampus village to explore Gurung culture and enjoy a tasty local lunch. After lunch, you will hike down for around 2 hours to Phedi, where a car will take you back to Pokhara. Our hike is flexible and can be adjusted to your pace and interest. You will be picked up from your hotel in Pokhara by your guide. After a 45-minute drive, you will start the hike. You will walk through beautiful villages and forests on the way to Australian Camp. From the top, you can enjoy amazing views of the Annapurna and Fishtail mountains. It’s a peaceful and easy hike, perfect for a day trip.
Note: Hikers who want to extend the trek can walk to Pothana from Australian Camp and return.

Dhampus
After spending time at Australian Camp, you will hike down to Dhampus village. There, you can explore the local culture, see traditional Gurung houses, and enjoy the peaceful village atmosphere. A local lunch will be provided during the trip.

Phedi
After having lunch at Dhampus, depart for Phedi. While you hike down to Phedi, your perspective shifts to panoramic views of Pokhara Valley and the mountains. The trail can be a mix of stone paths, forest tracks and occassional muddy stretches.

Pokhara Lakeside
After hiking down from Dhampus for almost 2 hours, you will finally arrive at Phedi, where private transportation will take you back to Lakeside. This final stretch combines beautiful landscapes with relaxing paths, therefore ensuring a memorable conclusion to your Pokhara day hike.
