Itinerary
1
Centro Pitillal
Feel and breath a different vibe here in Downtown Pitillal.
This is not your typical touristy Puerto Vallarta, rather a small neighborhood where the hustle and bustle starts before 6 in the morning.
There is amazing homemade cooking often missed by visitors. Pitillal is a working class neighborhood that bursts into life before 6am.
.
Saturday night is the busiest for local families that come to the square looking to have a good time. There are street performers, food, music, and the occasional special event that sets this area apart from the touristy Zona Romántica.
.
Small produce shops, and shops in general abound here. Old printing press machines from over 50 years ago are still used here. Watch hat makers, piñata artisans. Visit medicinal herb shops, the largest tortilla factory in town, etc.
Pitillal will make you feel like you have stepped out of the touristy Vallarta and into the Real Mexico.
