Cuc Phuong National Park
Experience the Wild Heart of Northern Vietnam: Cuc Phuong & The Bear Sanctuary
Escape the tourist trails of Tam Coc and Trang An for a day of raw nature, ancient history, and heartfelt conservation. This immersive day trek takes you deep into Cuc Phuong National Park—Vietnam’s oldest nature reserve—and provides an intimate look at the heroic efforts to protect the region’s wildlife at the NINH BINH Bear Sanctuary.
The Journey Begins: Stepping into the Ancient Jungle
Your adventure starts with a scenic drive toward the limestone karst mountains that fringe Cuc Phuong. Established in 1962, this park is a biological treasure trove, home to a staggering array of flora and fauna, including some of the rarest primate species on Earth.
As you enter the park, the humidity drops and the air fills with the rhythmic "cicada symphony." We move beyond the paved roads and hit the jungle trails. This isn't just a walk; it’s a journey through time

The Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh, managed by FOUR PAWS, is a world-class facility dedicated to ending the cruel practice of bear bile farming in Vietnam. Most of the residents here are Asiatic Black Bears (Moon Bears) and Sun Bears who have been rescued from horrific conditions.
