Our tour will start on George Street, the gateway to the entertainment district. You'll learn a little bit about how St. John's began, some of our traditions, and discover our architecture before we continue on to our beer tastings.

We'll explore downtown St. John's while visiting local breweries and pubs: Gahan House, The Newfoundland Embassy, and YellowBelly Brewery. At each stop you'll sample multiple types of beer while your guide delights you with entertaining and quirky stories of our long history with beer. You'll hear stories of gangsters, Prohibition loop holes, an accidental port wine discovery and more. We'll spend around 30 minutes at each brewery/bar.

Our tour ends with two samples at the historic YellowBelly Brewery, near our meeting point. Here you'll learn about why we call it YellowBelly corner and the Irish connection. And you'll get the scoop on our connection to a Tony-winning Broadway musical while sampling the beer named after it.
