Then we will head north towards the Nazca desert, following the Pan-American highway. We will visit the Sitio María Museum, an interesting place where we will learn about the life of Dr. María Reiche, a lady of German origin who dedicated more than 50 years of her life to the protection and study of the lines. This place housed María Reiche for a period of more than 20 years, and finally in 1994 it was transformed into a site museum.
There you can see the life of María Reiche through beautiful photos taken when she worked in the Nazca desert many years ago. The old cabin that was her study center can still be seen today, along with all her belongings, such as cameras. photographs, measuring instruments, among others. On one side of the museum you can see the tomb of María Reiche, where she was buried in 1998.
