The world-famous Wildhorse Saloon opened in 1994 in a converted warehouse. It captured the attention of people near and far when on June 3rd 1994, Reba McEntire herded a stampede of live cattle through the streets of Music City, down 2nd Avenue and right past the front doors of the Wildhorse Saloon. On the walk here you'll learn the history of the area and how it evolved.

This alley was once the home of locals print shops, then over the last century it's been the 'mens quarters', bars and music joints where everyone from Elvis, Bob Dylan, Rascal Flatts and Tim McGraw all played or got their starts here.

Skull’s Rainbow Room, opened by David “Skull” Schulman in 1948, was one of the most notorious spots in the Alley, featuring acts such as Elvis Presley, Etta James, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan on its legendary checkerboard stage.
