Itinerary
First we talk about Onigiri, which is one of the most familiar food with us Japanese. We also learn a little about Japanese taste of Umami.
Then let’s get down on cooking. We’ll make dashi broth from scratch for our Tonjiru soup, which has various kinds of vegetables, tofu, konjac and pork.
For Onigiri, we’ll make a few kinds of fillings such as grilled salmon/mackerel (with mayo), salty and sweet pork “Soboro”. When all of the fillings are ready, let’s shape the onigiri with your hands, with your choice of fillings from what you make.
