Nagarkot View Tower
Perched at an altitude of 2,175 meters (7,136 feet), Nagarkot is one of the most popular hill stations near Kathmandu, known for its panoramic views of the Himalayan range. On a clear day, visitors can see snow-capped peaks, including Mount Everest, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Gaurishankar. It’s also a serene spot to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas, where the first rays of sunlight cast a golden glow on the mountains. Changu Narayan Temple
The Changunarayan Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered the oldest pagoda-style temple in Nepal. Located atop a hill surrounded by lush greenery, it dates back to the 4th century and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, known locally as Narayan. The temple is renowned for its intricate wood and stone carvings, including a beautiful 5th-century stone sculpture of Vishnu riding the mythical bird Garuda. Visitors can explore the temple’s architecture, admire ancient inscriptions, and immerse themselves in the tranquil atmosphere of this sacred site. Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a living museum of medieval Nepalese art, culture, and architecture. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was once the royal palace of the Kingdom of Bhaktapur and is adorned with stunning courtyards, temples, and monuments. Key highlights include:
Nyatapola Temple: A five-story pagoda-style temple and the tallest in Nepal, dedicated to Goddess Siddhi Laxmi. Its intricate design and towering structure are iconic.
