Itinerary
Travelers will embark on a guided hike up Mount Longonot, an extinct volcano rising from the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The trek begins at the base and ascends through open savannah, offering panoramic views of the surrounding valley and Lake Naivasha below. Guests will reach the crater rim, where they can explore the rim trail for close-up views into the volcanic crater and dramatic landscapes. Along the way, the guide shares insights on the mountain’s geology, volcanic history, and local flora and fauna. The hike includes stops for photos, rest, and observation of wildlife such as zebras, antelopes, giraffes, and diverse birdlife.
