Our visit begins with the mighty fortress that awaits us at the entrance of the town and welcomes us protecting us from every side that is what overlooks the valley or what looks at the red roofs of the houses of the village.
Continue along the streets of Montalcino until you reach the cathedral dedicated to San Salvatore and inside which there are important works by Francesco Vanni and Barocci. Then continue along the main street until you reach the town hall square with its beautiful and slender clock tower that stands there almost as if guarding those arriving .. Continue towards the garden square to admire one of the most beautiful landscapes of all - the Val d'Orcia.
