Meirion Mill which was originally built in 1867 to serve as a warehouse for Minllyn Slate Quarry. It was later converted into a Wollen Mill in 1946. Here you have time to browse woollen goods and quality locally produced gifts, and stretch your legs after the first part of the journey.

Talyllyn Lake
A brief stop at this natural lake formed by a large landslide when it was a glaciated valley thus damming up the lake area. Talyllyn literally means 'the end of the lake' . The Welsh name Mwyngil is made up of Mwn (neck) and cul (narrow). It sits peacefully below Cadair Idris in the Snowdonia Mountain Range
3
Aberdyfi (Aberdovey)
Aberdyfi for sea views of the Dyfi Estuary. Arriving around lunchtime. You have around two hours here, which is enough for an unhurried lunch, a walk along the seafront and harbour, and a little time on the sand if the weather is kind. There are a number of small local shops and eateries available but less tourists than other coastal towns.

Machynlleth
A short stroll around the Historic Market Town of only just over 2000 people. It is linked with Owain Glyndŵr’s 1404 parliament where he was crowned Prince of Wales. The Royal House is reputed to have been the location where Charles 1 stayed in 1643. The Town Clock was built in 1874. There has been a Wednesday market held here for 700 years. It was also the location of Laura Ashleys first shop in 1961.
