Zona Arqueologica de Tula
Tula was the Toltec state capital, it was one of the major urban centers of the Central Highlands of Mesoamerica around 1000 AD along with Tenochtitlan and Teotihuacan, and was probably the largest city in this region.
The major civic center consists of a large plaza bordered on one side by a five-stepped temple pyramid, which was probably dedicated to the god Quetzalcóatl. Other structures include a palace complex, two other temple-pyramids, and two ball courts.

The National Museum of Anthropology contains the world's largest collection of ancient Mexican art and also has ethnographic exhibits about Mexico's present-day indigenous groups.
Exhibited on two large floors, these displays show ancient human remains and art objects. Among its outstanding exhibits are the “Group of Figures” from the Olmec culture and the 22-ton Aztec “Sun Stone,” representing the history of the world.
