We will begin our journey from Saranda, driving through the stunning Albanian countryside along scenic routes that wind between rivers, olive groves, and lush landscapes. Our first stop is the charming village of Mesopotam, nestled between the Kalasa and Bistrica rivers. Here, we will explore the Mesopotam Monastery, which houses the ruins of a rare Byzantine church with four domes and two apses, unique in Albania and among the rarest in the region. This remarkable site reflects the rich religious heritage of the area and provides a fascinating insight into local traditions, architecture, and sacred monuments. Enjoy a peaceful walk around the village, taking in the serene natural surroundings and the authentic charm of rural Albanian life.

Finiq
Our second stop is Finiq Village. We will take a leisurely walk through the village, exploring its charming streets and learning about its rich history. Finiq holds great historical importance, as atop a nearby hill lie the impressive ruins of the ancient city of Kaon, dating back to the 5th century BC. During our walk in the village center, we will discuss both the village’s local traditions and its remarkable heritage, connecting the present-day community with the fascinating legacy of one of the oldest settlements in the region. This stop offers a unique combination of authentic village life and extraordinary archaeological significance.

Karahaxhë
The third stop will be Karahaxh, a picturesque village known for its authentic rural charm. Here, we will explore the village streets, interact with locals, and enjoy the serene natural surroundings. You will have the opportunity to experience traditional Albanian hospitality with a coffee and a glass of raki, the country’s most famous and beloved drink. This stop provides a relaxing conclusion to the tour, allowing you to immerse yourself in local culture and enjoy the peaceful village atmosphere.
After Karahaxh, we will drive back to Saranda, returning to the same meeting point or the city center, depending on what is most convenient for you. This allows you to end the tour comfortably and with plenty of time to relax or continue exploring Saranda on your own.
