Nagarkot Hiking
The journey begins by private vehicle from your hotel in Kathmandu to the ancient village of Changu Narayan. Home to the oldest Hindu temple in the Kathmandu Valley, it dates back over 800 years. The entire village has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its unique architecture and beauty. The streets are stepped and of flagstone with craftsmen doing their traditional carvings in stone and wood as they have done for centuries.
After visiting the village, trek for around four hours upwards to the top of Nagarkot for an amazing sunset over the snowcapped peaks of the Himalayas. Rising to an elevation of 2,175 meters, it is an ideal place to watch the sunset.
