It is also the place where the painter Pablo Picasso lived from 1948 to 1955 and fell in love with pottery and ceramics, he made more than 4000 pieces of pottery in 20 years, enjoy the famous statue on Square Isnard of “The man and the sheep” offered by Picasso himself to the town of Vallauris.
