Praca Dos Restauradores
Our meeting point in front of The Hard Rock Cafe. The Square marks the beginning or the end of the old town Lisbon

Elevador Da Gloria
We will drive up the hill on one of three funiculars in city. Gloria Elevator was built in 1885 and runs on electricity since 1914.

Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara
Our first glimpse over the city and the old town. Great views over the Castle Saint George and the downtown.

Bairro Alto
The district Bairro Alto dates back from the 15th century and is known for its cosy restaurants and bars and at the same time maintaining the character of typical neighborhood.

Igreja de Sao Roque
The austere facade of the church hides probably one of the most beautiful and interesting churches of Lisbon. Built in the 16th Century and decorated in the following centuries is a masterpiece worth a visit.
(Please be aware that the church closes on Monday mornings and during mass visits are not allowed)

Largo do Carmo
A very quiet square nowadays and once the stage for the most important revolution in Portugal, the Revolution that ended the longest dictatorship in Europe so far.
From the square we will see the ruins of Convent of Carmo destroyed by the Earthquake of 1755.

Elevador de Santa Justa
The Elevator was built in 1903 and serves the city as public transportation. We will be able to see the view on the first terrace, but the ride is not included.

Chiado
The elegant district of Lisbon ever since the 19th century is still one of the most beloved districts to shop in Lisbon. We will walk by historical cafés and shops and see the oldest operating bookstore in the world, Bertrand.

Baixa de Lisboa
The downtown of Lisbon (Baixa) is the result of new layout of the city after the terrible earthquake that destroyed on November 1st 1755. For a long time Baixa was the financial and business centre of Lisbon, now we find several hotels, shops and restaurants.

Miradouro Das Portas Do Sol
Overlooking the Alfama district, the viewpoint is close to a section of the oldest city walls of Lisbon, dating back to the 8th century.

Alfama
Known as the oldest district of Lisbon, Alfama still has the look of a moorish maze. Through the narrow streets we will have a glimpse of some of the most typical traditions of the city.

Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco)
We end our tour nearby the river and surrounded by the former oficial buildings of the government at the Commerce Square (Praça do Comércio), one of the most outstanding squares of Lisbon.
