Enjoy the temple's seasonal beauty and charm, with cherry blossoms in the spring and autumn leaves in the fall, as well as nighttime viewing at certain times of the year.

Yasaka Koshin-Do
Yasaka Koshindo: This temple is located in Higashiyama, near Kiyomizu Temple and Yasaka Shrine. It is characterized by colorful, ball-shaped “kukuri-monkeys” tied all over the temple grounds. These kukuri monkeys are meant to warn people against selfishness, and it is said that if you pray for patience with your own desires, your wishes will come true.

Sannenzaka Ninenzaka
Sanneizaka / Ninenzaka: This slope is part of the approach to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and is said to have been used by Kitamasato, the wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
