Besarabsky Market
. It was build by Polish warsowian architect Henryk Gaj in 1912. The money for this most beautiful trading place of Kyiv gave Jewish merchant Lazar Brodski, for it’s not far from the main synagogue and other Jewish places, including birth place of Golda Meir.

Zhitniy Market
Located in a soviet style building, this market is one of the oldest in the city. It’s famous for its babushkas – ladies that bring their homegrown and made goods into here. Especially recommended is curd and sour cream.
