Muzeum Krakowa, oddzial Fabryka Emalia Oskara Schindlera
Step inside one of Kraków’s most important historical museums — Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory — where history unfolds through immersive design and expert interpretation. This is not merely a biographical exhibition; it presents a comprehensive narrative of Kraków during the years of Nazi occupation, revealing how the war reshaped the city and the lives of its inhabitants.
Accompanied by a licensed professional guide, you will bypass the queues and enter the permanent exhibition “Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945.” Located in Schindler’s former enamel factory, the museum tells not only his story but also that of the Jewish and non-Jewish residents who endured daily life under occupation.
As you move through the galleries, you will encounter original artifacts, archival photographs, and carefully reconstructed spaces. The narrow corridors and subdued lighting are intentional, designed to evoke the tension, uncertainty, and atmosphere of the era.
