Creating each pot is a unique moment. The ability that clay gives you from a piece of amorphous matter to create objects that will make everyday life more beautiful give it invaluable value. The hours I go to the atelier are for me a source of energy and relaxation, and that’s what I’m looking for those who visit my atelier. The workshop is located 16 kilometres from Heraklion ( acces only with car ), in a unique location in the nature, with a spectacular view of Cretan mountains. The area around offers many opportunities for walking and visiting the nearby villages.

Unnamed Road
Follow the road to the university and then follow “Voutes” direction.
You cross the village and continue for 1.8 km till you see a hill with the sign « Πετροκέφαλο / Petrokefalo » (the road starts to descend). Do not go up the hill but take the road on the right, vertical to the main road (and not the one going uphill to the village). Be careful not to pass this intersection that is about 1 km before another intersection with also sign “Petrokefalo”. There are 2 houses on you right, you follow the little street for about 200 m, there are a few houses on your left and then continue the road (it is a little deserted) till you arrive directly at the entrance of the workshop (the green door with the sign “Koυμουλιά”).
Passing the entrance, on the turn there are 2 marked parking places where you can park your car.
If you use the GPS, put first direction "Voutes" and not "Petrokefalo", then once you are in Voutes, use the link, otherwise the GPS might lead you through 4x4 dirt roads...https://www.google.gr/maps/place/35%C2%B015'09.3%22N+25%C2%B002'21.3%22E/@35.2540977,25.0338431,16.15z/data=!4m14!1m7!3m6!1s0x149af8f3118f9ae7:0x297f36340e8a5939!2sPetrokefalo+700+13!3b1!8m2!3d35.2501106!4d25.0379575!3m5!1s0x0:0x0!7e2!8m2!3d35.2525953!4d25.039238

Itinerary
At the beginning of the seminar there will be a quick guided tour of the workshop and information on the stages that the clay passes to get from an amorphous mass to a useful object. Then I will show you the various techniques that you can use to create your own unique items by hand or on the wheel.
Τhe creations you will realise in the atelier will take 3-4 days to dry, depending on your realisation and the weather. Then you can either pick them up or glaze them in the colour you wish. In that case you have to wait another 2 days for the second baking. Notice that the second baking is not included in the price.
The handicraft that you will create, once cooked, can be obtained from the wor...
