Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park
Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park was created in 2006 to try and restore the natural ecology of a large, rocky wasteland next to Mehrangarh Fort. It had suffered from years of neglect and was overrun by an invasive, thorny shrub, Prosopis juliflora, introduced from Central America almost a century ago. Today the park is home to native rock-loving plants and desert fauna. Explore the park accompanied by your guide.

Mehrangarh Fort
Built in 1460, Fort Mehrangarh is one of the largest forts of India. Towering over the city of Mehrangarh, this massive fort has several palaces with beautiful carvings.
Climb up the ramparts of the fort and arm yourself with some bait to attract kites. Your patience will be rewarded soon as the sharp eyed birds of prey sight the food and start to swoop down upon it. Once you have had your fill of this activity head back to Jodhpur City, stopping for some light refreshments (beverage excluded) en route.
