VINTAGE SAKE means to enjoy fine Japanese premium sake in a new way with pronounced and complex aroma and flavor intensity and variety. Conventional sake is brewed in an annual cycle and drunk young. Aged sake, however, is stored for three to twenty years or longer. The long maturation gives the sake a full body and robust character with balanced sweetness, acidity, umami and delicate bitterness. A strong texture and a long finish contribute to an inimitable enjoyment. Aged sake can be dry like a red wine, refreshing with slight sweetness and acidity like a white wine or aromatic like a dessert wine.
