1 hour and 30 minutes
2
Tuamgraney
Visit Tuamgraney, a picturesque and historic market town. Here, you can view St Cronan's Church, which dates back to the 7th century and is the oldest church still in regular use in Ireland.

Scarriff
The second town our tour visits is Scariff, another historic market town.
4
Mountshannon Harbour
Mountshannon was built as a centre for the linen industry. Today it is a quiet harbour town where we board the boat to Holy Island. We can also get a coffee here before boarding the boat.
30 minutes
5
Inis Cealtra (Holy Island)
At Mountshannon you will board a boat, operated by Holy Island Tours, which will take you out to Inis Cealtra (Holy Island). This is an ancient monastic site, built in the 6th and subsequent centuries. For several centuries it was a centre of learning, religion and trade. You will have an hour to wander among the buildings and enjoy the peace and tranquility. There is a €16 fare per adult which is not included in the tour price, and which is payable by cash or Revolut to Holy Island Tours.
