Day 1 : Epic start at KM 82
5 : 30 AM : Pick up in Cusco. Travel by tourist transport to the Sacred Valley, stopping in Ollantaytambo for breakfast.
Starting point: KM 82. Official registration, crossing of the Urubamba River and start of the walk.
El Camino : Easy path to warm up. Lunch in Miskay and visit the Llactapata resort. Hike to the first camp in Yuncachimpa, overlooking the Nevado Veronica.
Data of the day: 6 - 7 hours of walking, 11 km. Difficulty: Moderate.
