The cathedral of Lofoten. Built in 1898, this mighty wooden church has always been an important institution for the fishermen needing the Lord's protection before venturing out at sea. (Outside visit)

Once one of thile most important fishing villages of Lofoten, Henningsvaer is also called the "Venice of the Arctic". Beautifully built on stilts along a canal, the lively village hosts today several art galleries and handcraft shops.
