Itinerary
1
Sam Tung Uk Museum
Sam Tung Uk Museum is a beautifully preserved Hakka walled village that offers a rare window into the rural life of early Hong Kong settlers.
Built in 1786 by the Chan clan, this "Three-Hall Dwelling" was once surrounded by rice fields. As Tsuen Wan developed into a new town in the 1970s, the villagers were relocated, and the site was declared a monument in 1981 to preserve its unique architectural symmetry.

Tin Hau Kung
A short walk from the museum, the Tin Hau Kung (Tin Hau Temple) serves as a reminder of Tsuen Wan’s coastal past before massive land reclamation.
Originally built in 1845, the temple was dedicated to Tin Hau, the Goddess of the Sea, who protected the local fishermen. The current structure dates largely to 1873 after a typhoon destroyed the original; it remains a focal point for the community during the Tin Hau Festival.

Kwai Fong Plaza
Kwai Fong Plaza is a quintessential neighborhood hub where you’ll experience the authentic "Cha Chaan Teng" (Hong Kong tea cafe) culture.
Kwai Fong Plaza was established to serve the massive public housing estates that rose during Hong Kong's post-war population boom, becoming a center for affordable local commerce.
You will enjoy a local afternoon tea with a french toast or egg tart.
You will also walk around this plaza to see the local neighbor business

Lai Chi Kok
The tour concludes in Lai Chi Kok, a district that has successfully transitioned from a heavy industrial zone into a vibrant creative and commercial district.
Once a site for oil depots and garment factories in the 1950s-70s, Lai Chi Kok's landscape shifted as manufacturing moved across the border. Today, the old industrial buildings have been revitalized into trendy malls and workspaces.
