Mekong Delta Discovery – Cai Be to Can Tho (Day 1)
Begin your journey from Ho Chi Minh City to the charming riverside town of Cai Be. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic boat ride through what remains of a once-thriving floating wholesale market on the Tien River. Witness how local trade has evolved in modern times and observe the diversity of the Mekong's lush fruit orchards—often called the “fruit basket” of southern Vietnam.
Visit a local family-run workshop to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made
Paddle through tranquil canals by sampan, soaking in the natural beauty and serenity of the Upper Mekong Delta. On Tan Phong Island, engage in a hands-on cooking experience as you help prepare a traditional Vietnamese meal
After lunch, cycle along quiet village roads lined with orchards, meet friendly islanders, and visit the historical Ba Kiet Ancient House. Conclude the day with a boat ride back to Cai Be and a transfer to Can Tho City, where you will spend the night.
