Saint Lucia Estuary
Travellers will embark on a relaxing two-hour boat cruise on the St Lucia Estuary, located within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. The estuary is one of the largest natural estuarine systems in Africa and is home to a remarkable diversity of wildlife.
Guests will board a spacious double-deck vessel designed for comfort and excellent wildlife viewing. As the boat cruises along approximately 7 kilometers of estuarine waterways, travelers will have the opportunity to observe hippopotamus in the water and along the riverbanks, often surfacing close to the boat. The estuary is also home to Nile crocodiles, which can frequently be seen basking in the sun along the shoreline.
Throughout the journey, knowledgeable guides provide commentary about the estuary ecosystem, wildlife behavior, and bird species.
This experience is suitable for families, photographers, and nature lovers. Wildlife sightings are highly likely, particularly hippos, which are abundant in the estuary.
