We then hike up to the glacier through a stunning narrow gorge, stop for lunch (you bring a packed lunch), and then onto the glacier to see plenty of crevasses, water holes and other glacial features to explore. Itinerary
A SPECTACULAR, VARIED DAY, WITH A LOT OF ACTIVITY FOR THE WHOLE BODY!
We begin taking tours on Tunsbergdalsvatnet (lake) around June 11 and take tours here until Styggevatnet is ready for kayak paddling (usually around July 11). This lake sits 1,000m below forest-clad mountains, which surround both lake and glacier, making for some of the best, most scenic kayaking in Norway!
After kayaking to the lakes end, we continue by foot alongside the Glacier River, which flows through a narrow, spectacular gorge. This leads us to Tunsbergdalsbreen (glacier), the longest valley glacier in Norway.
