Sharia Al Mu'izz Li-Din Allah
Muizz Street (Shariʻa al-Muizz li-Din Illah), also known as Al Moez Ldin Allah Al Fatimi Street in Islamic Cairo, Egypt, stands as one of the oldest streets in Cairo, extending approximately one kilometer in length. A United Nations study recognized it for possessing the highest concentration of medieval architectural treasures in the Islamic world. Named after Al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah, the fourth caliph of the Fatimid dynasty, the street spans from Bab Al-Futuh in the north to Bab Zuweila in the south. Since 1997, extensive governmental renovations have been undertaken, transforming the street into an "open-air museum." On April 24, 2008, Al-Muizz Street was designated as a pedestrian-only zone between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., allowing cargo traffic outside of these hours.

Bab al-Futuh
Bab al Futuh (Conquest Gate) remains one of the three surviving gates in the walls of the Old City of Cairo, Egypt. Completed in the year 1087, it faces north and marks the northern end of Muizz Street. The gate was a part of the fortification commissioned by Commander/Vizier Badr al-Jamali of Fatimid Imam/caliph Mustansir. It boasts rounded towers providing robust defense, adorned with vegetal and geometric motifs.

Situated at the Fahhamin Quarter on Al Mu'izz li-Din Allah Street, the complex is divided on both sides of the street, with the congregational mosque-madrasa on the western side and the khanqah-mausoleum-sabil-kuttab on the eastern side.

Bab Zuweila
Bab Zuweila, one of the remaining gates in the walls of the Old City of Cairo, is considered a prominent landmark of the city. It served as the last surviving southern gate from the walls of Fatimid Cairo during the 11th and 12th centuries. Its name originates from "Bab," meaning "Door," and "Zuwayla," the name of a tribe of Berber warriors responsible for guarding the gate.
