We use local bus round trip to 2 spots or guide's private car (costs 3,000 JPY for a group) You can have lunch at Sannai Maruyama site or Aomori Museum of Art. Guide is quite knowledgeable about Jomon. Both spots have nice shop so you can purchase memorable souvenirs. This tour is guided by government licensed English tour guide Tomio Yokouchi.

Sannai-Maruyama Site
Sannai Maruyama site is one of 17 archeological sites listed on the World Heritage site as Jomon historic sites in Northern Japan.
You can see reconstructed pit buildings, a gigantic tower and a lot of artifacts.
Feel Jomon culture which was thousands of years ago.

Aomori Museum of Art
Aomori museum art stores various arts created by local modern artist Nara Yoshitomo, world famous wood block print artist Shiko Munakata, and so on.
The highlight of the museum is the backdrops for the ballet Aleko (Chagall).
