Enjoy a special session with miniature painting artists. Miniature Painting is a style, which evolved and flourished in the royal courts of Rajasthan. Each Rajput kingdom evolved a distinct style, but with certain common features.
The paintings depict a number of themes and events, including epics such as the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, Krishna’s life, beautiful landscapes, and humans. The colours were extracted from certain minerals, plant sources, conch shells, and were even derived by processing precious stones. Gold and silver were also used. The preparation of desired colours was a lengthy process, sometimes running into weeks. The brushes used were of an extremely fine quality.
