Shika Island
The island is known as the spot where the Gold Seal of the King of Na, a national treasure, was discovered. The island is about 11 kilometres around and connected to the Umi no Nakamichi on the mainland by a causeway.

Soumu Temple
It is famed as a temple for matchmaking, and the view looking down on Hakata bay. There are several activities available here such as a Zen meditation workshop, a match a green tea workshop, and a sutra transcription workshop

Kyukamura Shikanoshima
Hakata Bay and the Sea of Genkai stretch out before your eyes at this ocean resort. It is a facility where you can enjoy a lunch using plenty of seafood and the only hot spring on the island.

Kinin Park
The Gold Seal that Chinese Emperor Guangwu (Later Han Dynasty) presented to a local monarch in the Yayoi Era (400BC - 250AD) is said to have been discovered in this very park. The unearthed gold seal (kinin) was deemed a national treasure and is currently on display in the Fukuoka City Museum.
A memorial plaque has been erected at the entrance of the park where the seal was found. Visitors to the park will also find ancient maps featuring Shikanoshima Island and a poetic tablet with a verse written by ancient Chinese historian Guo Moruo on it.

Shikaumi Shrine
This area is thought to be the origin of the Azumi-uji clan, an influential clan who ruled the oceans in ancient times. There is a poem in ”Manyoshu” (an ancient anthology of Japanese poems) about the ocean god who is enshrined here. There is an enshrinement hall has a collection of over 10,000 deer horns in the precinct.
