Patan Gate
The city of Patan has long been known as the city of the arts. It's stone and wood carvings rank as some of the finest in all of Nepal. These skilled craftsmen created incredible temples and palaces as well as stone idols of the various Hindu deities.
The vehicle crosses the Bagmati River and enters into what was once the ancient kingdom of Patan. Even today Patan is a separate city from Kathmandu, reflecting its long-standing independent nature.
The tour begins in Patan's Durbar (Palace) Square. And your professional guide will guide the tour. Each of these tours offered is small private group affairs, ensuring that all participants have the opportunity to interact with their guide. It is amazing to see how many ornate buildings and temples have been placed in such a small area.

Patan Durbar Square
The tour continues down the main road past various temples and then along the narrow roads through the old city of Patan. The tour continues past Buddhist monasteries, temples and then doubles back to the Durbar Square area with its unique Hindu Temples.
A half-day tour can be combined with other day tours of the Kathmandu Valley. Patan is an easy trip from Kathmandu and is a delight to behold.

Nestled just south of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu is the city of Patan. Known as the city of art, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is an incredible jewel. Once an independent kingdom, it features its own Durbar Square, ancient temples and the famed Patan Museum which features some of the finest examples of art in all of Nepal.
The Patan half-day tour arrives in Patan Durbar Square in a private car.
