This day tour explores some of the less-traveled sites that can only be accessed on a sturdy 4x4 vehicle. We drive to the Thjorsardalur Valley to look at the double waterfall of Hjalparfoss. We will then visit Gjain, an oasis, with waterfalls, water streams, and lush vegetation in the middle of a dark rocky desert. Then we drive to the waterfalls Háifoss, one of Iceland’s tallest waterfalls, plunging 122 meters/400 feet into a rugged gorge, and Granni, waterfall.
