This beach nestled in the warm coastlines of Puna is unique with its combinations of black and white sand and underbelly of fresh water springs bubbling into the ocean. This experience will guide you through the forest and ocean cliffs as you learn about endemic plants, geology, marine biology, and historical accounts connected to Hāʻena. Once arrived to Hāʻena we will enjoy the cold crystal clear waters and swim across the bay to visit a Punawai spring! :)

Once turned onto the beach rd, the end of the road leads right into the designated parking areas for the coastal forest trail! Parking area is marked with a gate and large stones. Your guide will be yellow and waiting for you at the large trail map sign to start the adventure!
