神角寺渓谷
The route runs along the Jinkakuji Valley, where crystal-clear mountain water flows, and stops at a spring water spot. In autumn, the valley is beautifully coloured with autumn leaves.
After stopping at the spring water spot, visit the "Fudo Myoo" and "Arhat statues", which show the long history and culture of the area, before continuing on to the next spot.

Jinkakuji Temple
One of the oldest temples in Oita Prefecture, with a history of over 1,000 years. It was temporarily devastated by war, but the present main hall and other buildings were rebuilt in 1369. The main hall and the standing wooden statue of Kongorikishi are designated as National Important Cultural Properties.
