Chivhu
Travellers will pass through the small farming town of Chivhu, located 140km South of Harare.
Chivhu was formerly called Enkeldoorn and was founded by Afrikaans-speaking Boer farmers and settlers in around 1850, and was the first white settlement in Zimbabwe. It became an Afrikaner stronghold in a predominately English-speaking white Rhodesia, giving it the nickname of 'the Republic of Enkeldoorn'.
It was later renamed Chivhu after the Independence of Zimbabwe in 1982

Mvuma
Mvuma, previously named 'Umvuma', is a small mining town in Midlands province in Zimbabwe.
Located 192 km south of Harare along the Harare - Masvingo highway. Approx 100 km from Masvingo.
The main employer was the Athens Mine (formerly the Falcon Mine) owned by Lonrho Zimbabwe which mined gold, silver, and copper. It was closed down around 1996 due to a mine shaft collapse and the low price of gold. One may still see a huge chimney, on top of a hill near the mine, built in 1913 and visible from miles away.
Travellers can purchase some snacks and take a short break
