The morning may begin with a wildlife drive where we’ll look for moose, bears, and elk. Next, we’ll cycle through the park with the stunning mountain vista as our backdrop.
Our favorite route takes us from Menors Ferry to Jenny Lake along a flat bike path. We’ll make stops along the way to explore historic homesteads and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch!

Chapel of the Transfiguration
The rustic log Chapel of the Transfiguration sits on a rise just within the southern entrance of Grand Teton National Park. A large window behind its altar frames the magnificent beauty of the Teton Mountain Range.

Menor's Ferry Historical Trail
Menor's Ferry once belonged to William D. Menor who came to Jackson Hole in 1894, taking up a homestead beside the Snake River. Here he constructed a ferryboat that became a vital crossing for the early settlers of Jackson Hole Valley.

Grand Teton National Park
Rising above a scene rich with extraordinary wildlife, pristine lakes, and alpine terrain, the Teton Range stands as a monument to the people who fought to protect it. These are mountains of the imagination. Mountains that led to the creation of Grand Teton National Park where you can explore over two hundred miles of trails, float the Snake River, and enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place.

Mormon Row Historic District
Leaders of the Mormon church sent parties from the Salt Lake Valley to establish new communities and support their expanding population. Mormon homesteaders, who settled east of Blacktail Butte near the turn of the 19-century, clustered their farms to share labor and community, a stark contrast with the isolation typical of many western homesteads.
Homesteaders established 27 homesteads in the area because of relatively fertile soil, shelter from winds by Blacktail Butte and access to the Gros Ventre River. We will visit their homesteads and learn about the history of homesteaders in the area
