Saint Hilarion Castle
Entrance fee: 30-50 TL (approx. €1-€2). St. Hilarion Castle is a medieval fortress perched high in the Kyrenia mountain range of Northern Cyprus. Originally a monastery, it was later fortified during the Byzantine period and expanded by the Lusignans as a royal residence and defensive stronghold.
The castle is famous for its dramatic hilltop setting, panoramic coastal views, and fairy-tale appearance, which is said to have inspired legends and even modern castle designs.

Kyrenia Castle is a historic fortress located at the entrance of Kyrenia Harbour in Northern Cyprus. Originally built by the Byzantines in the 7th century to defend against Arab raids, it was later expanded by the Lusignans and extensively rebuilt by the Venetians in the 16th century to withstand cannon fire.
The castle features thick stone walls, towers, and a central courtyard, offering impressive views of the harbour and the Mediterranean Sea. Inside, visitors can explore museums and historic exhibits, including the famous Kyrenia Shipwreck, one of the oldest recovered merchant ships in the world.

Kyrenia District
Explore on foot the shopping streets. Kyrenia’s shopping streets are lively and full of character, blending traditional charm with modern style. Located mainly around the harbour and town center, they feature a mix of local boutiques, souvenir shops, jewelry stores, and small markets.

Bellapais Monastery
Approx. 50 TL per adult ( 1-2 EUR). Bellapais Monastery, officially known as Bellapais Abbey, is a 13th-century Gothic monastery located in the hills above Kyrenia. Built during the Lusignan period by Augustinian monks, it is one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in Cyprus.
