Perched atop a forested hill, More than 3000 century years old stupa is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites especially for Nepali Buddhism , Bajrayana. panoramic lookout over the entire Kathmandu Valley. Ascend the 365 stone steps flanked by playful rhesus monkeys, spin rows of prayer wheels, and admire the gleaming white dome crowned by a gilded spire and Buddha’s all-seeing eyes. Your guide explains the blend of Vajrayana Buddhism and Hindu symbolism here, from the Harati shrine (protector of children) to the five Dhyani Buddhas that represent the elements.
