Hongcun Ancient Village
In the morning, you will be picked up from your centrally located Tunxi hotel, then take one-hour car ride to Hongcun Village, which is UNESCO cultural heritage. The early history of this village can be tracked back to 14th century, and there are well-preserved old houses built along a pool that supplying the water to the entire village. The perfect place to take photos here is at the crescent pool with the traditional houses as the background.

Xidi Ancient Village
Then you will head to Xidi Ancient Village that is also a UNESCO world cultural heritage. Xidi was wealthier than Hongshan in the history, because there were many scholars and officials from Xidi, who built nice houses for their family here.
There are family temple, old lanes, and a huge memorial gateway in Xidi. It is interesting to wander around the village to learn the secret about Anhui(the province name)architecture.
Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your Tunxi hotel where the wonderful day tour concludes.
