Pick-up from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco around 4:00 AM. Your guide will greet the group, give a quick briefing, and you’ll start the drive through the mountains toward the town of Mollepata.

Mollepata
Stop in Mollepata for a warm local breakfast before continuing the journey. This is also a chance to stretch, use restrooms, and adjust to altitude before reaching the trailhead.

SORAYPAMPA
Arrival at Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft), the starting point of the hike. Here the guide explains the route, altitude, and safety tips. Optional horses are available for an extra cost.

Humantay Lake
The hike takes about 1.5 to 2 hours uphill, depending on pace. The trail is steep in sections due to altitude, but the guide allows rest stops along the way. Horses are available for those who prefer not to walk the full route.

Humantay Lake
You will spend 40–50 minutes at Laguna Humantay to enjoy the turquoise water, take photos, walk around the shore, or simply rest. The guide explains the cultural and natural importance of the lagoon in Andean tradition.

The return hike is mostly downhill and takes around 1 hour. The pace is easier, and the landscape offers mountain views, glaciers, and open valleys.
