The guide and vehicle will pick you up at the center of Hue City. Begin the journey north along National Highway 1A toward the DMZ – the former Demilitarized Zone that divided Vietnam for over 20 years.

07:00 – Visit La Vang Holy Land
Stop at La Vang, a major Catholic pilgrimage site in Vietnam, believed to be the place where the Virgin Mary appeared in the late 18th century during a time of religious persecution under King Canh Thinh (Tay Son Dynasty).

Quang Tri Citadel
07:40 – Visit Quang Tri Citadel
Continue the journey to Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, this was the site of the fierce 81-day battle in the summer of 1972 between the Liberation Army of South Vietnam and the Army of the Republic of Vietnam.
Now a memorial cemetery, it is the final resting place of thousands of unidentified soldiers – a solemn symbol of sacrifice and loss during wartime.

Travel north along National Highway 1 to the historic 17th parallel. Visit Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River, the site that marked the temporary division of North and South Vietnam under the 1954 Geneva Accords. Learn about the intense psychological warfare between the two sides, including propaganda loudspeakers, competing flagpole heights, and bridge color schemes. Explore key symbols of division such as the white demarcation line, dual flagpoles, and the war relic museum.

10:00 – Transfer to Phong Nha via the Western Branch of the Ho Chi Minh Trail
On the way, your guide will share stories about the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail – the vital supply route for food and weapons from North to South during the American War.

3:30 – Visit Phong Nha Cave
Recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site, Phong Nha Cave is known for:
• The longest underground river in Southeast Asia
• Spectacular stalactite and stalagmite formations dating back millions of years
• Serving as a hiding and storage place for the Liberation Army during the war
You’ll take a motorized boat on the Son River and travel about 1.5 km deep into the cave, where a guide will provide insightful commentary on the cave’s geology, formation, and historical significance.
