Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal, an architectural masterpiece and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most iconic symbols of India. Located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, this stunning white marble mausoleum was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who passed away in 1631. Completed in 1648, the monument is a perfect blend of Persian, Islamic, and Indian architectural styles, featuring intricate marble inlay work, calligraphy, and beautifully landscaped gardens. Standing majestically on the banks of the Yamuna River, the Taj Mahal attracts millions of visitors from around the world who come to admire its breathtaking beauty, especially during sunrise and sunset when its marble surface glows in different hues. A symbol of eternal love, the Taj Mahal remains one of the most visited and celebrated wonders of the world.

Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah
The Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, often referred to as the "Baby Taj," is a magnificent Mughal mausoleum located in Agra, India. Built between 1622 and 1628 by Nur Jahan, the wife of Emperor Jahangir, the tomb is dedicated to her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who held the title of Itimad-ud-Daulah (Pillar of the State). This exquisite structure is considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal and is renowned for its intricate Pietra Dura (marble inlay) work, delicate lattice screens, and finely carved floral motifs. Unlike earlier Mughal tombs made of red sandstone, this one is primarily built from white marble, giving it an ethereal charm. Set amidst a lush Persian-style garden along the Yamuna River, the tomb's symmetrical design, octagonal towers, and ornamental archways make it a remarkable example of early Mughal architecture, showcasing the transition from red sandstone to marble that later influenced the construction of the Taj Mahal.
