Meet your naturalist guide in Catania and travel to the north side of Mount Etna. Once you reach Piano Provenzana (the less touristy side), board a special 4x4 vehicle for the ascent to the summit area (2950 meters). From there, enjoy a moderate hike accompanied by your naturalist guide and a licensed volcanological guide, who is required for excursions at this altitude. Please note that the 4x4 ascent fee (€70 per person) is not included in the tour price and must be paid directly to your guide on the day of the tour. Mount Etna
Spend the day discovering one of the world’s most beautiful and active Volcanoes during this small-group trip to Mt. Etna. Depart in the morning from Catania and head to Rifugio Sapienza at Etna’s base. Travel by cable car and off-road vehicle up to the volcano’s craters, and go for a hike at 3000 meters!
Visit a cave of volcanic origins with the equipment provided by us (helmets and torches).
