It is the most important mosque in Egypt at all, and one of the historical strongholds for spreading and teaching Islam. It is also one of the most famous ancient mosques in Egypt and the Islamic world. Its construction dates back to the beginning of the Fatimid era in Egypt

The street includes 221 Islamic monuments, and it is a street that represents the heart of the old city of Cairo, which was developed to be an open museum of Islamic architecture and antiquities. With the emergence of the city of Cairo during the era of the Fatimid state in Egypt, Al-Moez Street arose. The layout of the city was permeated by a main street extending from Bab Zuweila in the south to Bab Al-Futuh in the north parallel to the Gulf. It was called the Great Street. Mosque-Madrassa of al Ghouri
The Qansuh Al-Ghouri Agency is an agency or hotel that was established during the reign of Qansuh Al-Ghouri in the year (909 AH - 1504 AD.) on Muhammad Abdo Street, off Al-Azhar Street.
The agency consists of a rectangular open courtyard, surrounded on all sides by rooms on five floors. Its main facade is located on the south side, and it has the main entrance to the agency. The first floor is accessed by a stone staircase. On the first floor there are about 30 holders, and on the three upper floors there are 29 houses. It is believed that the carriers of the ground and first floors were used as stores for merchants, and it is believed that most of the visitors to this agency were also merchants.
