Moses and his people camped in an area that had no water.
Due to the people's desperation, which came from the fear of dying of thirst, Moses believed that the wrath of the people would result in him being killed.
The deliverance of Moses and his people came about by an incredible miracle that occurred at a place called Rephidim.
Moses struck this Rock of Horeb, the rock split, and this produced such large volumes of water that what ensued was described as "rivers in the desert".
Seeing this actual miracle up close is a must on any visitor's journey into Saudi Arabia.
ehold the amazing split Rock of Horeb, a highlight of our tour! Discovered by Jim and Penny Caldwell back in the 1990s. Scramble around this geological wonder

Twelve Waterfall of Musa A
The Springs of moses are a group of hot springs, some sweet and some bitter, which form a small fertile oasis. It is a wonderful oasis with a natural palm trees surrounding the hot springs. Its water has the ability to heal wounds, especially those of diabetic patients. It can also strengthen bodies and help regulate high blood pressure.
It is an underground spring that supplies the monastery with water, is said to sit on the very spot where Moses met his future wife, Zipporah, after protecting her and her sisters from an aggressive group of local shepherds (Exodus, 2, 16-21). According to the monks, the well never dries up and it is the monastery's main source of water.

Magha’er Shuaib (Well of Jethro, also known as the Well of Shuaib)
Maghaer Shuaib is situated in the northwest region of Saudi Arabia, specifically in the reddish desert west of Tabuk. The site is surrounded by a rugged and arid landscape, characterized by sandstone cliffs, rocky outcrops, and vast stretches of desert.
Historical Significance: The exact origins and history of Maghaer Shuaib are still being studied and researched by archaeologists. However, it is believed that the site dates back to the Nabataean civilization, which thrived in the region from the 4th century BC to the 1st century AD.
