Explore an Authentic Ranch and meet True Gauchos
San Antonio de Areco
About
This is not a touristy ranch. There are tourists, more o less of them depending on the day, but it is not a place set up for tourists, like many other ranches.
They do recieve tourists but they work the land, they grow soy beans, corn, wheat, etc and the break horses for other people. They breed a few creole horses and they have a good amounf of cows and a few sheep (animals that you do not find on tourits´traps).
Here, you will meet the REAL gauchos, not men dressed up as gauchos, as if this was a circus. Here, the gauchos belong to traditional, ancient, historical families of gauchos.
On touristy ranches you find yourself in a huge warehouse, eating inside, where the beauty of nature...

The Draghi family is a traditional family of silversmiths of Areco.
Your guide will describe the most important elements in the tiny museum and through them you will learn a lot about the gauchos, the first silversmiths who arrived in the Pampas and why, the geography and nature of this area, the costumes and costumes and more .
Mr Draghi is considered the father of the Creole silverware in the town because he recreated the old medieval way of handling silver, adding the gaucho elements onto it.

Estancia El Ombu de Areco
This is a true working ranch: avoid the cheap tourists' traps which have no cows, where the riding is in a pen (not real) and where you find yourself in a warehouse full of tourists who are given a tango show!
We will ride for about an hour and 15 minutes.
Start to unwind, visiting the town of San Antonio de Areco, the cradle of the Gauchos' traditions.
We will visit a silversmith and the church of the town and then we will go to the ranch where they will be waiting for us with some delicious empanadas.
Drink something and get ready for your horseback riding which lasts about half an hour
If you don't feel like riding, you can also carriage ride and if you feel like chilling out, you can relax by the swimming pool.
We will enjoy a typical and complete Argentine BBQ with salads, dessert and coffee . All inclusive.
Immerse in the gaucho culture, watching how they dance and play their instruments for us, so proud of their traditions .
4 or 4.30 pm approx we leave.
